Biography
Russ Hamilton was a singer/songwriter from the past due ’50s who tasted short graph success in both U.K. as well as the U.S. with different edges of the same record. He was created Ronald Hulme in Liverpool on January 29, 1932, and produced his 1st tentative actions in display business like a Butlins Redcoat entertainer. He and some other staff come up with a skiffle group, and after completing his nationwide support, he cut his 1st disc, the young ballad “We CAN MAKE Appreciate,” which climbed to number 2 in the summertime of 1957. Amazingly, it had been the B-side, “Rainbow,” that demonstrated the popular song within the U.S., and resulted in a predicament where he was known as to market two different information simultaneously in various countries. Unusual since it was at that time for United kingdom performers to split the U.S. graphs, he divided his time taken between Britain and America and taken care of his links with the vacation camp scene, executing live on-stage seven days and then back again at Butlins the next week. In Britain, he implemented “We CAN MAKE Love” using the equivalent song “WEDDING BAND,” rather than troubled the graphs again. Equally the situation, he never were able to consolidate his achievement within the U.S., and “Rainbow” was his only strike record. By 1960 he previously agreed upon with MGM Information in Nashville, but non-e of his recordings marketed sufficiently to chart.
