British Airways' Boeing 777 business class BA's Club World business class comes in a 2-4-2 layout, with passengers in the aisles (B, D, G and J) facing the front of the aircraft, and those in the windows and centre (A, E, F, K) facing towards the rear: Confused how that works? The new Boeing 777X will be the world’s largest and most efficient twin-engine jet, unmatched in every aspect of performance. With new breakthroughs in aerodynamics and engines, the 777X will deliver 10 percent lower fuel use and emissions and 10 percent lower operating costs than the competition. The Boeing 777 is a wide-body airliner developed and manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes. It is the world's largest twinjet and commonly referred to as the Triple Seven. The 777 was designed to bridge the gap between Boeing's 767 and 747, and to replace older DC-10s or L-1011s.

On 8 September 2015, the Boeing 777 operating the flight suffered an uncontained engine failure and fire in the left (#1) GE90 engine during take-off from Las Vegas-McCarran International Airport, prompting an aborted take-off and the evacuation of all passengers and crew. All 170 people on board survived, but 20 were injured.

The British Airways 777 seat plan has four cabins, with First Class in the nose, with the latest style of seats.

The middle cabin is occupied by Business Class - all 14F variants now have the latest Next Generation Club World, with half of the seats facing backwards.
